Sushi Salad by Early Morning Farm CSA

We really have something for everyone on our blog, and our certified organic vegetables are the basis for great vegan meals!  Vegans do not eat meat, fish, dairy, or eggs.  Many of our recipes offer easy vegan variations or are naturally vegan.  Everyone can benefit from plant based meals, try adding a Meatless Monday to your weeknight menu!  Removing meat, egg, or dairy from a recipe is actually pretty simple once you get the hang of it.  Milk substitutes work well in baking and cooking.  Recently, almond milk and coconut milk have become popular for their creamy texture and taste.  Scramble tofu instead of eggs, or sub blended silken tofu, applesauce, or mashed banana to baking recipes.  Try coconut oil for a healthy fat instead of butter, it’s unrefined and delicious.  There are lots of meat substitutes available to use in place of ground beef or burgers.   Try using beans, nuts, and seeds for protein, too.  Our homemade stock recipe includes a vegan variation, that is easy, unprocessed, and cheaper than store-bought versions.  Here are a few of our favorites, and we have more in the Vegan section of our Recipe Index.
