Happy fall everyone!

Autumn has arrived at Early Morning Farm!

The leaves are changing, the air is growing crisp and we’re having more and more foggy mornings here on the farm. As some of you may have noticed already (it’s ok if you didn’t, I won’t hold it against you!) there are now two voices here on the Early Morning Farm blog.

Please welcome your new CSA Membership Coordinator, Johan Grimm (that’s me!). I first encountered Early Morning Farm as a member and have been enjoying their — I mean our! — vegetables all season long.  I’m very excited to have undertaken this position and look forward to speaking with and meeting many of you in the coming months. Over the remainder of this season I will be slowly taking over all of the front-end communications here on the farm and will become the main point of contact for you next season. There’ll be plenty of time for us to get acquainted in the near future, but for now, on to business!

We’re Having an Open House!

Come out for a chance to tour the farm, meet some of your fellow CSA members and pick up a pumpkin or two! This year our open house features contributions from several of our friends, including Bet the Farm Winery, Autumn Harvest Farm, Turek Farms, Pumpkin Hill Bistro, West Haven Farm and the Binghamton Farm Share. There will be pumpkins, apples, hot cider and more available for all. Click here to learn more about the open house.

All proceeds from the sale of pumpkins will be donated to VINES, a Binghamton-area organization dedicated to making CSA shares available to and affordable for food insecure households. We’re proud to be supporting this great cause and hope you’ll join us! Click here to learn more about VINES.

Early Renewal
It’s time to renew your CSA share for 2014! During the month of October and November we offer a 10% early renewal discount for signing up and paying in full. And, this year we’ve added a 5% discount for payment plans that renew early! (first payment when now, next payment March 1st!) Click Here to Renew Your Share Today.

Winter Share Boxes
Last season we did a Thanksgiving share at the end of the season and people LOVED it! So, we’re doing it again this year – but that’s not all – We’re also offering a Holiday Share in December and a January Share box in mid January $45 for each full bushel box, or buy all three for $125.

If you are interested in the Winter Boxes, we highly recommend that you sign-up soon – availability is limited.
