This Saturday, April 2nd, is the first market of the season at the Ithaca Farmers’ Market, and we’re just about ready. We washed root vegetables that were stored through the winter (in the freezing cold – thank you crew), and harvested some leeks from the field that survived the harsh winter somehow. The market van starts, check; signs, check; replenish the cash box, check (I guess I spent all the change over the winter); plastic bags and scale, check!
It will be great to see all of our old friends and familiar Ithaca faces. There is a wonderful sense of community rooted in our farmers’ market and I’m sure everyone is looking forward to sharing stories of their past winter adventures. So if you get the chance come join us this Saturday! The market starts at 9 am and ends at 3 pm.
