Week 2 CSA Share Meal PlanWeek 2: June 17th – June 21st

Basic Share Box:  Spinach, KohlrabiArugula, LettuceHakurei Turnips, CarrotRadish, Collards, Napa Cabbage, Bok Choy, Celeriac

For Week 2 CSA Shares we harvested lots of farm favorites like Hakurei Turnips.  Hakurei turnips are also known as salad turnips, and are delicious raw and cooked.  The greens are edible, remove the greens from the turnips and store in separate bags in the vegetable crisper.  Cook the greens like you would any other hearty greens – great sautéed with olive oil and garlic.  Radish greens are another interesting green to try, separate the greens from the radishes and add to a mixture of other salad greens.  They add texture and a peppery flavor to salads.  This week also brought back kohlrabi and Napa cabbage, scroll down for recipe ideas!  We have another 5 recipes for you to try this week, Happy Eating!
