Our Mission

“To Grow Fresh, Organic Food and Strengthen our Local Community of Eaters.”

Community

CONNECTING OUR ORGANIC FARM TO OUR COMMUNITY

CSA Members and farmers are connected weekly by the food that is produced, and the shared experience of preparing and eating the local harvest. Our pick-up locations become weekly meeting points for neighbors and friends committed to supporting our farm and the local food system.

Accessibility

MAKING HEALTHY FOOD ACCESSIBLE

Our farm participates in programs to provide subsidized shares to low-income families and create access to nutritious fresh organic produce in neighborhoods with limited food options. Making deliveries to under-served communities with limited access to fresh, local produce is one of our top priorities.

Sustainability

LOCAL. SUSTAINABLE. ORGANIC.

CSA Members have the joy of knowing how, when, and where their food is produced. We keep records of every crop from seed to market, and our farm is certified organic. Members become connected with and participate in local agricultural cycles by eating seasonally and sustainably.

Our farm comes together with community members as shared stakeholders in the success of local, sustainable food production.

Early Morning Farm began in 1999 with 3 acres of land, 3 friends and 1 garden-sized rototiller. The farm is now one of the largest and most successful Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farms in Central New York.  CSA share members purchase a share of the harvest each growing season, and receive fresh organic vegetables each week. This arrangement brings the farm and it’s members together as shared stakeholders in the production of local and sustainable food. Eaters and farmers are connected each week by sharing in the harvest together.
