Mizuna is an Asian green that is often found in baby greens salad mixes, but we often include the large leaves in our CSA shares. It has a slightly peppery flavor and is delicious lightly cooked in stir-fries, soups, and raw in salads. It has large serrated leaves, and it’s appearance is somewhat feather like.
Storage
Wrap in plastic and store in vegetable crisper for up to 5 days.
Preparation
Wash thoroughly, and dry for salads. A salad spinner is the best tool for washing and drying. Chop or tear into bite size pieces, the stem is thin and it is not necessary to remove the stem. Add to stir-fries and soups at the last few minutes of cooking.
