Baltimore Woods Nature Center is a beautiful place to pick-up your CSA and explore some of their hiking trails while you’re at it! Located in Marcellus, southwest of Syracuse, Baltimore Woods Nature Center hosts a wide variety of outdoor activities for children, families, and nature lovers alike. They have programs for schools to visit them, and outreach to visit pre-schools and daycare centers. Home-schoolers can also enjoy their programming! They also run a special program called “Nature in the City” bringing science education to Syracuse city schools through field trips and classroom instruction. in addition to all of this, they host adult groups and birthday parties. We’ll be delivering Neighborhood CSA Shares to Baltimore Woods on Thursdays from 3:30 – 7pm. Members can choose from two different size CSA Share boxes, the Basic Share and the Premium Share. The Basic Share contains 7-9 varieties of certified organic vegetables, and yields 30-35 servings. This is a great option for smaller households. If you’re looking for even more fresh organic vegetables, consider the Premium CSA Share. For large families and serious vegetable eaters, this is a great option. The Premium Share yields 40-45 servings per week and contains 10-12 different varieties. The main CSA Season runs from mid-June through mid-November. we also offer an Academic Season Share, perfect for students, faculty, or anyone not in CNY during the summers.
