This Week’s Forecast
Tomatoes are starting to come in! Make sure you check out our page on Heirloom Tomatoes. Heirlooms are delicate, bruise easily, don’t always ripen evenly, and don’t take kindly to transport – but the flavor is worth it. Not all the tomatoes we grow are heirlooms varieties but you’ll likely see some in your box at some point during the season.
Also this week: Peppers are starting to ripen so we’ll start see some ripe red and yellow sweet peppers working into the rotation. We’re going to do our best to give Kale and Beets a week off – in their place will be Bok Choy and Carrots. And of interest to salad fans – Lettuce is back!
