Recently, Main Street Farms has had the opportunity to team up with FoodFeasible, a nutritional company currently offering a new program at the Cortland County building. The Taste More Waste Less Campaign is a unique 6-week workplace wellness program. We provide the raw vegetables, and FoodFeasible teaches participants about confronting their food, learning how to compost, and enhancing their recipe and pantry repertoire! They just completed final week of the campaign and have seen a 33% increase in CSA member participation, returned over 50 pounds of compost, and received over a dozen recipes built around the fresh vegetables available through our CSA membership!
FoodFeasible is a nutritional company that works directly with farmers, food hubs, and chefs to support the local food movement. Offering a diverse range of programs including community workshops, workplace wellness, and childhood education, FoodFeasible combines nutrition and culinary education for audiences of all ages and backgrounds. FoodFeasible is owned and operated by Lela Niemetz, registered dietitian-nutritionist, and recipes are designed with collaborating culinary nutritionists and chefs. You can contact Lela directly to set up The Taste More Waste Less Campaign at your own workplace!
